STEEL CONTAINERS · EDMAROM
Abroll, City or Skip?
Choose by the handling system and the load. Volume is determined by compatibility with the handling equipment.
At a glance
Start with the vehicle: a hooklift for Abroll/City, arms and chains for Skip. City has its own interface to check; it is not automatically compatible with every small truck.
A platform carries a load; a subframe integrates equipment. They are distinct families with different securing requirements.
Volume is not payload. Compatibility and available load must be checked for the vehicle, lifting system, container and material.

| Recommended for | Waste, recycling, bulky materials and applications using a vehicle with a compatible hooklift system. | Municipal collection, light materials and restricted-access work when vehicle and body envelope are suitable. | Site collection and manual or mechanical loading with a compatible skip loader. | Loads needing side access, deck transport or ramps whose suitability has been confirmed for the project. | Equipment and dedicated-body integration where the interface and attachments are designed together. |
| What matters | Floor and walls suited to wear; reinforcement; doors; tarpaulin or lids; sealing where requested and confirmed. More steel also adds empty weight. | Solid or mesh walls, loading height and covers selected for the material. Compact dimensions may mean more trips. | Symmetric S, asymmetric A or symmetric lidded SD construction; thickness, access and closures suited to the application. | Chequer plate, ramps, attachment points and sides as required. Ramps change empty weight and available geometry. | Mounting positions, reinforcement, maintenance access and support areas defined around the installed equipment. |
| Compatibility | Do the hook height, rails, rollers and locking points match the handling system? | What hook height, available payload and body envelope does the City system permit? | Are lifting and tipping-point dimensions confirmed for the vehicle? | Are the load footprint, local contact loads and loading method known? | What are the mass, centre of gravity, dimensions and load cases of the complete assembly? |

There is no single configuration for every job. Dimensions and compatibility are confirmed in the accepted design before manufacture.
